(565 posts)Jesus Christ grow up. It's time to look at what happened before the debate. How many of you have looked at the President's June travel schedule(?) and his overseas trips. I just got back from Germany and it takes over 2 weeks to get realigned to your sleep habits. What you should be asking is why did his staff work him so hard. Second why are you crying about how he sounded and acted and giving it sooooooo much attention? Quit crying about what President Biden did wrong and focus on what trump did wrong. Also everyone criticizing President Biden was bragging about how great he was going to do for weeks on end. And how all trump had to do was just not set his hair on fire in order to look presidential. President Biden was set up for failure while trump was set up for the expectation of a three year older. Now as for the "we won't fact check on CNN" where did that order come from(?) David Chalian a right "leaning" individual. So why would he give trump a leg up if all the pressure on President Biden was he had to be prefect while trump just had to keep his flatulence under control in order to look presidential.

(2,753 posts)It wouldn't surprise me if that was one of the reasons Biden did so poorly.: the Fat dude was farting up all the oxygen on the stage!
Also, after 50+ years of public service, he looks bad one night and suddenly everybody is calling for him to step down. I won't use the language I normally use to respond to such moronic and childish behavior, but I think you can imagine the vocabulary. The NY Times, for Pete's sake, has called for President Biden to step aside! The Times, of course, is a "news" paper that has outlived its one sterling reputation. It used to print stories it had verified, and opinions based on careful observation. Now it goes for the money making "scoop" -- emphasis on "money making" --and damn the truth. Biden step aside? They'd also likely counsel abortion for a preganant woman vomiting because of morning sickness.
Also also: I just watched the speech Biden made in North Carolina the night after the debate -- check it out, y'all. It was magnificent, dammit, just magnificent. There was no brain fog. He spoke clearly and emphatically. The day after! And now maybe the media -- except Fox which is propaganda and not news -- will lighten up and begin reporting on what Biden says, has done, and promises to do more of when he wins his second term. I'm not holding my breath that they will, however.
