Usually military officers, especially generals, don't talk like this.

And they don't get involved in politics.

Very unusual times.

They do not want to be in a position where they disobey a direct order from
the CIC and face court marital.

Retired officers have spoken out before. I've never known active duty ones to speak on politics.

But US retired military generals typically do not line up against an ex US president who was
their CIC. It usually is not done.

They don't usually en masse like this announce support for a candidate.
A black female one especially. The military tends to be conservative.

I think it is remarkable.
