I must say that the misogyny of so many men, Vance in particular, is foreign to me. I always wonder how they were raised to be so warped. I know that I was very fortunate to have a father who loved and respected women, my mother above all, but also my grandmother and my aunts. I think that he would not only be appalled, but in absolute disbelief at what comes out of Vance's mouth.
Since I was the eldest, my Dad always expected a lot more from me than from my brother. It didn't always make life easy, but I realize that I'm better off now.
And my Dad was a lifelong Republican since my grandmother was (party of Lincoln) - but she came around in time to vote for Clinton, twice. And I can't imagine my Dad would ever vote for the likes of TFG, but he wouldn't hesitate to vote for a woman. He met and got to know Shirley Chisholm as a young man and became a lifelong admirer.
