Flames erupt from Frontier Airlines plane after hard landing in Las Vegas

The Frontier Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas when the pilots detected smoke and declared an emergency, according to Frontier.

5. They aren't "crap" or their planes wouldn't be in the air. The fact regulators usually "catch" errors is re-assuring n/t

Humans fly, guide and work on these things so there will be failures at times (very very rarely). If it was the result of a maintenance failure, it will be addressed. If it is, though doubtful because they've been around forever, an issue with the A-21 itself, it will be addressed.

It is still safer to put your self in an aluminum/titanium/carbon fiber tube and hurl yourself at 600 mph at over 7 miles above the ground than it is to get into a 2klb chunk of steel and drive to the grocery, period.

I find that remarkable and a testament to all involved in the air transportation system.
