Well said. What I don't get is why anyone would consider voting for someone so blatantly offensive - and unqualified Rhiannon12866 8 hrs ago #3
It is insane that he launched a violent insurrection against the U.S. Govt. and a Capitol Police Officer was killed Dem4life1970 7 hrs ago #4

...but remember the Kavanaugh hearing? We heard background stories about Sen. Susan Collins and Sen. Lisa Murkowski who were going to shock the world and oppose him...and the next time I turned on the TV I see
Susan Collins standing in the well of the Senate announcing that she will vote for him. Republicans' weakness is their willingness to fall in line, no matter what. Look at Trump. In 2016 they could've nominated anyone, but choose him, a man who gave (and continues to give) people permission to be their worst selves (which is why he won in 2024 as well).

Never mind that he's a convicted felon for election interference and convicted of sexual abuse as well. And then there's the matter of the Constitution prohibiting him from holding public office - Amendment 14 Section 3 - since he led the insurrection on January 6th 2021 to overthrow the government.

And that's not even counting those who were severely injured attempting to defend the U.S. Capitol from TFG's violent mob. He was solely responsible. And do we doubt that he'd do the same thing again?? When is he going to face legal repercussions from his criminal actions??

Though, I guess it's always possible that those planning on calling it quits in 2026 may also vote against him
