FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You just said a thing that isn't covered. Peacefully and patriotically, I said during my speech. Not later on. Peacefully and patriotically. And nobody on the other side was killed. Ashli Babbitt was shot by an out-of-control police officer that should have never, ever shot her. It's a disgrace. But we didn't do -- this group of people that have been treated so badly.

This got by me too. The capitol police are "the other side" and he is 100% with the rioters -- "we didn't. . " (before he corrects himself).

2. Good catch! Exactly - the rioters were "his" people, they were following his "orders" - and many were armed

Not only did Capitol Police officers die, but many, many more were severely injured. And he wanted to turn off the magnetometers so that they could carry their weapons into the Capitol, does he regret that those they were looking for - Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi - weren't caught and killed? Hundreds of violent insurrectionists have been found, prosecuted, convicted and jailed - yet their "leader," whose orders they were following, still walks free. And what is he planning for this election??

3. The way he talks, you'd think there is no issue at all with attacking police as long as you don't kill them.

138 officers (73 Capitol Police and 65 Metropolitan Police) were injured, of whom 15 were hospitalized, some with severe injuries.

And among the rioters, in addition to the woman shot, two died of heart attacks, and one died of an overdose of amphetamine. Being part of an angry mob is a dangerous business.

U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick suffered two strokes and died January 7, U.S. Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood took his own life on January 9, and MPD Officer Jeffrey Smith shot himself on January 15. All three events related to the physical and mental trauma of the events.

The level of hate and rage he so casually stokes is so, so dangerous. I don't know what might be in store, but I hope every county's election sites, election offices, and election officials have an extremely high level of security throughout the entire process in all the battleground states.

I fear the worst, hope for the best.

She also includes the testimony and we've all seen the footage from that day. The fact that not only the "leader" who initiated this insurrection is still walking free, but his fellow planners who are still serving in Congress who have Capitol "tours" beforehand even though the Capitol was closed to tourists due to the pandemic. How do those serving time in prison feel about that??

And we hear that there are safety precautions being taken on this coming January 6th - but what are they planning this time around and will it be enough??
