Since I know that most DUers don't stay up as late as I do - or don't have cable or even TV. And, especially now, we need all the humor we can get...

Hi Rhiannon ,

Btw I was wondering when the Village People would ask Shitler to stop using their music. And sure enough it has already happened, but they have backtracked because legally he can I guess:
https://pitchfork.com/news/village-people-asked-trump-to-stop-playing-ymca-at-rallies-singer-says

It is one of those predictable election season things that the wing nuts use the music of some group that then asks them to cease and desist (Heart and Barracuda, Chumbawumba and Tubthumping etc).

At any rate I am happy the Village People dislike Trump. I enjoy running to YMCA and Macho Man and don’t want to associate them with this creep .

Cool clips .

Plus, not only has every musician - including the estates of those no longer with us (like Tom Petty) - threatened to sue if he doesn't stop using their music. But we know that when he entered the White House, practically no musicians/entertainers stepped up to perform. And we can contrast this with the Obama administration which had the best and most popular musicians happy and ready to perform - it's quite an honor to be asked to perform for the president. And I also have President Carter's autobiography - he was another president, like Obama, who loved music and there were regular top performers ready to perform at Carter's White House, too!
