If he takes it he admits that he is one and ever Republican politician that has been supporting him will have egg on their faces.

Which should have prevented him from running for any public office. And his actions so far have certainly demonstrated the continuing danger that he poses to the country and the people. He never promised to work for the people, like any other candidate - his only promise was retribution and revenge.
