Figure out how you can make sure they use the delivery company that give the safest service. I worry about theft from our doorstep these days. But we're retired and can use the detailed tracking that's available to pin down when we'll receive something. Or I should probably request that packages be left by our side door where they won't be visible from the street.

Fyi, I noticed something new in the tracking for the Amazon or private deliveries. Last week I tracked an item and saw that it was out for delivery. I walked away from the pc but left the screen up. When I came back the screen changed to a map. Onscreen there was a notice that the delivery person was only three deliveries away. Then it changed to two and then one. I don't want to sit and watch the countdown every time. But I was watching tv and organizing some craft supplies in here so I left the screen up out of curiosity.

UPS also has a more precise tracking service and it's a free sign up. I haven't signed up yet but they'll tell you about when the package should be delivered.
