My hubby and I both work in the same IT dept and went to an Educause conference together in New Orleans. We were meeting a shuttle that was going to take us to our hotel, along with some other conference attendees. Werent even in the shuttle yet and some lady was hitting on him. He told her he was married, and she said So... I am too. Then he introduced me to her. I had been standing with him the entire time. She did look a bit taken aback and apologized, but we saw her over the next few meet and greets hitting on our coworkers.
A ring can be an outward reminder, as well as a personal reminder.
