In reply to the discussion: My mom used to say NEVER trust a married man who doesn't wear a wedding ring! [View all]mulsh
(2,959 posts)80. I don't wear mine when I'm doing physical labor, I wear it all the time these days. My wife bought
my ring. It's called a "comfort fit" what would be edges are rounded and boy is it comfy. These days I only take it off to take a shower.
My wife wears my great grand mother's engagement ring and my grandmother's wedding ring which is also a "comfort fit". Both are over 100 years old. She never takes these rings off.
My father wore his wedding ring for 20 years until he lost it one night playing with it during a play. They were married 45 years when mom died. Both sets of grandparents were married over 50 years, my grandfathers wore their rings.
maybe it's genetic.

Yes, as far as I can tell wearing a ring doesn't stop anyone from doing bad things

My husband, who worked with machinery when younger, never wears a ring. I'm sure he's faithful.

Eschewing an arbitrary, non-universal social custom is a bad reason to distrust someone...

My ggmom used to say don't trust a man with tiny ears. It supposedly meant they were stingy. nt
