She is perfectly fine with her identity as a German, and has no inclination to seek American citizenship, as she has no reason to want to live there. She also respects my decision to keep my American citizenship, would never dream of asking me to give it up. Our daughters have both nationalities, as is their birthright, and have no intention of giving up either. They proudly cast their votes for the Democratic candidate in every presidential election, and have done so every time since they were of legal voting age.

My SIL from China became citizen in 92. My brother's 5th grade classes attended.

Our kids came to the ceremony - They are both adults born in the US so no issue there
