The medium itself is destructive. Content takes second place to a medium which instills a hypnotic, receptive state in the viewer. Listening to radio or reading requires some engagement of the brain, the imagination, but tv is a whole world.

"The medium is the massage".

I blame much of our current troubles on the fact that generations now of people have spent countless hours in that strange manipulable mind-state.
