We can't manage our own herd. It'll take A.I. to have the power to recognize that WE are the virus killing life on this planet to make our lives convenient and easy. That's not to say A.I. will kill us off necessarily, but if our numbers were reduced to under 2 billion worldwide, that would lower the stresses we're currently placing on all other life on this planet.
