(25,246 posts)It was painful to see. We all knew that Obama had it in him to win and do a good job. He had already proven himself in his first term. We stuck by him, continued our phone calls and celebrated when he won.
I feel the same way about Biden. We know that he still has it in him to energize voters and win despite the debate last night. I watched his NC rally today. It was the Biden that we all know - energetic and fired up. He admitted his faults, but also promoted his accomplishments. The crowd was large and they loved it. This is paraphrased since I can't remember his words verbatim, but I loved when he said, "I might not be as young as I once was, or walk as fast as I once did, or debate as well as I used to, but I know what truth is. I have experience and I know what the job is. I know how to run this country."
The crowd went wild and shouted several rounds of "4 more years."
