14. I have to say,

I am so disappointed.
I've always been proud of my efforts to be a good person and do the right thing, even if I do fail at that more frequently than I would like to admit. But I'll be damned if I am going to join in with some of this stuff, most especially the jokes and celebratory responses to an assassination attempt, not to even mention the dead and injured left in it's wake. This is a tragedy of the highest order and we are failing to recognize it as such.
We all need to be asking what would drive a lunatic to commit such an evil act. And since we can never hope to control the behaviors of others, our duty is to reflect on ourselves and then strive to do better. Sadly, this will be an unpopular position to declare.
