(27,339 posts)50. My nephew lives in Mills River. I haven't heard from him since Saturday
But he said they are on higher ground so they had just a little water in the lower level (tri level house) and no power. He had the 'sketchy' trees removed a few years ago and said the rest, on his property, withstood the storm.
Fingers crossed the power is restored, soon. I went a week without power during Christmas week, back in 2013, so I know how miserable that can be.
