1. Prices have been coming down in Chicagoland where I live.

Conventional eggs down to $2/dz on sale. Strawberries .99/#. Whole chickens .99/#. Milk $5 for 2 gallons. Shop the sales (that $7 mayo will be on sale once a month for $4 or less). Soda and snack foods are still pretty pricy if not on sale, but they are not nutritious so skipping them is actually healthier.

Eating out is still more expensive than before. Local mom and pop affordable dinners/meals have gone up $2-4, so 20% tip goes up as well. We never ate out that much anyway.

Wages are stable after year or so of raises.
