I have never seen a campaign like this one.
Pres. Joe Biden Chose to step aside for the cause of maintaining our Democracy.
VP Harris Has conducted one of the best Presidential campaigns of my life, hitting the ground running halfway through an election like it was no big deal.
Gov Walz Has risen to the National stage, and become an undeniable asset to the campaign.
The Entire National Party Put self-interest aside and unified behind Harris and Walz. No one challenged them. No one made waves.
VP Harris's Surrogates Closed ranks and provided a unified and enthusiastic case for Harris and Walz. Former Pres. and FLs Obama and Clinton, Sec Buttigieg, Govs Shapiro and Whitmer, and others have been effective and engaged.
Former Military personnel Including Gens. Milley and Kelley came out in defense of our democracy and told the truth about Trump.
Republicans Who Care About America showed themselves this campagn. We got Dick Cheney, Liz Cheyney, Adam Kinzinger, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Barbara P. Bush, Alberto Gonzales, The Bulwark, The Lincoln Project, and many others. Given that I lived through the W years, It's hard for me to know how to feel about being on the same side as some of these folks, but it does help sell me on the idea that they care about our constitution, and system of government. A few Republicans haven't been willing to sell their country down the river for self interest or ideology.
And of course, all the people in the national organization. Our GOTV operation. The maintainers, volunteers, and members of this site. Activists for allied organizations. UAW and AFT
For all that this year has dismayed me, it has been gratifying to see this campaign unfold. The way things have been run, I can't find any fault with our side over this.
Whatever the verdict, we should win.
Wherever the American people are, we made our case.
We are unified, clear, and coherent in our message!
We don't know the outcome yet, but I think we have the comfort of knowing that our entire party, and everyone who who wants to maintain a free USA has hit back against the fascists like we mean it.
And here's hoping we will have the energy to keep fighting regardless of the outcome, because there will still be more to do, even if we win.
