I've gained some useful understanding of why they behave the way they do. How some nonsense can infect them so easily. Their standard tropes.

They are like Democrats: they love their families, they love justice, they love country.

They are unlike Democrats because they do not have the broader empathy that Democrats add: love and empathy for all humans. They also have a different concept of country, kind of frozen in 1950s suburbia with a layer of a few accomplished non-whites that they tolerate. I wanted to know how they could be so alike the rest of the country and yet so different and so opposed.

Now I sometimes find it amusing just how stupid they can be. Over the years the site evolved to be tightly controlled maga group think and then devolved into maga infighting. So much confirmation bias. So much overlap with evangullibles. So little logic.

But yeah, they have many ways to be disgusting. Beginning with violent bigotry, misogyny, racism, and prejudice. Not all of them are that way, but a majority of the vocal ones can't hide it or don't care.
