In reply to the discussion: How is everyone going to celebrate on Tuesday when Trump loses? [View all]DinahMoeHum
(22,531 posts). . .because I'm an election worker, and where I live, polls close at 9 pm and then I have to work at closing up shop according to protocol, calling in results, and turning over equipment to the drop-off place.
Odds are, I won't be back home 'till midnight - and I'm going to bed to sleep for 10 hours straight.
No TV, no social media, etc. until late the next morning.
Just so's y'all know, my day Tuesday starts at 3:30 AM, when I wake up, force down a big breakfast and get to my polling site by 5:00 AM to set up for polls to open at 6:00 AM.
Celebrating (or comiseration) will happen later in the week.
In the meantime, I suggest y'all brace yourselves for the next 76 days after the election, because there's not a snowball's chance in hell Trump will ever concede. No matter what. Who knows what kind of shit he's gonna try to pull in that period.
