5. WOW -- We are not going back

There may be some reactionary white dudes in there -- but as my sons (18 & 23) say , the idea that TFG and his court would look to undo rights that they think are "duh obvious" [because they are like duh obvious ( gays can marry, abortion is OK< it's not OK to discriminate for gender, sexual identity, trans status etc) ] will lead young people to vote for democrats even if they are upset over how Gaza is being handled or whatever is the current grievance (they keep saying that Biden/Harris are antiMuslim because they haven't stopped the war in GAza). They will not let perfection be the enemy of the good because they know they have two choices -- The felon or the prosecutor that gave overly harsh sentences in California (seriously, they told me they think she was borderline Nazi with how harsh her sentencing was to brown people as DA and AG in Cali).

My generation (Gen X) may have thrown away votes in 2016 that led to the felon winning, but they see TFG and his allies as an existential threat to every girl, gay friend or relative, trans friend or acquaintance.

WE ARE NOT GOING BACK to the 1790's anti immigrant laws or the 1870's anti-sex laws.
