I beg to differ. The Republican Party that you knew did indeed select ".. as its nominee the adulterous, childish, habitually lying and criminally convicted Donald Trump". The same people who were in leadership before the Convicted Felon slithered down the escalator were same ones who supported him as nominee. Sorry to burst your bubble Rev. but, it's conservatism that leads to Trumpism which is fascism. If I may, Rev, you seem somewhat rational, but hold some very irrational beliefs. Read a book about Quantum Physics. It can be a religious like experience and eye opening.
