we're also part of the disaster recovery program that helps if you don't have homeowners insurance. We have home owners insurance but sadly there is a 23k deductible which would cover any damages to my home and probably leave a lot left uncovered.

Enter DisasterRecovery.gov in your search engine for more info. also enter Operation Blue Roof.gov Those are better than my typing them out.
