(8,040 posts)I don't know why it isn't stated as plainly as that on talk shows, analyst panels, and in media outlets of all stripes. Same person and same party are responsible for dragging us through discussions such as:
...how much money can a president make off the office before it becomes illegal?
...should a potus be impeached and/or indicted for blackmailing the leader of an ally into finding dirt on a political rival?
...how much criming can a potus get away with before running out of immunity?
...can a sitting potus interfere with his own election? Does arm-bending and threatening governors count as interference or is it potus's job? Does sending an armed crowd to the capitol to fight for a halt to election processes count as interference?
...can a former president ignore classified docs laws?
...which interferes with elections more: continuing criminal court cases during an election or NOT continuing criminal court cases?
...should we be worried about a president who privately meets with and promotes virtues of the worst dictators around the globe?
...how much of the country views a lack of character, lack of competence, lack of empathy, and a life of full greed, failure, and grifting as strength in a leader?
...should a person who can't get security clearance due to all kinds of compromising situations be able to run for president?
...what portion of the country sees a weak, small, mean man and calls him good...while seeing a good, decent, competent person and calling he/she evil?
...and many more topics that we've never had to resolve before
