He had been demonized for four years, as had Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
The entire republican party spent all its ammunition on him and he was the target of their strategy.
By pulling the switcheroo, they were spent (not to mention the grifting) and could not adjust their strategy, especially since the hate machine takes time to take effect, and you saw that in the juvenile attacks on Kamala and Tim.
In elevating Kamala, Joe Biden will defeat Trump AGAIN, this time WITHOUT EVEN RUNNING, and bring youth into the party and into the vote. Best of all, their strategy BACKFIRED.
