(7,224 posts)I was angry for about 24 hours after I saw that Trump had won, and the Republicans had the Senate.
But, I was able to let go of a lot of the anger before it moved into hatred. I just feel a sense of sorrow now.
I'm not going to play the blame game, but I realize that there are a whole lot of people who can't get by their belief that a women is somehow not worthy to lead this nation.
The also can't get by their racism, and false religious beliefs.
Between the sexists, racists and religious fanatics, there were too many Americans who were willing to elect a white male, regardless of how morally depraved and spiritually bankrupt he is, over a black female who is a truly an honest, decent, compassionate, very well qualified person.
I'll never understand how these people think. They ignored history, and the obvious truths of where their decision will lead this nation, and chose someone who will never be there for them down the road.
Trump is a loveless man; except for love of self. He is addicted to money, power, and control, and will do what he wants, with no regard for the people who elected him. It's too bad that the whole world will suffer as a result of his election.
This is a harsh lesson for humanity to learn.
Elect a loveless person and you'll get exactly that; a person who has no concern for you, and will do whatever he wants, no matter what the expense to the rest of us.
Don't waste your time hating him, that only fuels your own misery.
