8. If the win is legit, that would suggest our presidential candidate wasn't clicking with some of the electorate.

Obviously we ended up with a candidate who had to have a very short campaign, who didn't get selected through a primary process, etc. Also, it appears that some of the voters only voted in presidential election and didn't bother to vote down ballot. So Trumpers specifically came out to vote for Trump.
