13. I recall that as part of the dumbing down of public education in my lifetime...

I recall some parental protests at school board meetings in Floriduh (and elsewhere, to be fair) a couple of decades ago where parents were complaining that their kids shouldn’t have to be forced to take subjects that were “too hard” and “not relevant” — and I wondered if anyone had the guts to ask those parents if they were saying their kids were too dumb for such coursework.
