Almost to the day my Dad underwent his bypass surgery. He was 72. I was 61. He died never coming out of anesthesia…heart way too damaged to repair.

Luck on my side (my wife) I didn’t get that bad. But the coincidence was too hard to ignore. I was the most fearful that I’d ever been.

Dune was my favorite novel series next to Asimov’s Foundation series.
I printed out that saying, taped it to the mirror in my bathroom and read it every single time I entered and left that room. I now have caught up with my father in age not fearful of today…it works. It centers you. Still repeat countless times daily.
