63. Hubby and I are going to buy a gun

He's retired Air Force and had to carry guns throughout half of his career. He has plenty of training and a license. Me, not so much, so I'm going to get safety training (a requirement in our state) and then get a license. AFTER buying a gun safe. We have small grandchildren visiting so we need to make sure they won't get hurt. I never wanted to own a gun.

Never saw the need for it, but things have changed. We live in a blue state, but even some of our neighbors are MAGAts and they've actually 'decorated' their vehicles and put up more Trump flags since the election. They're emboldened and drunk on perceived power right now. Mob mentality is a dangerous thing.

We're also going to stock up on canned goods again. We JUST finished the last of our covid stash, and it's time to replenish. Knowing Trump's ineptitude, another pandemic and lack of response are pretty much guaranteed.
