get anywhere by deluding ourselves about how millions voted for a hateful strongman.

Trump’s voters may whine about groceries but the bloodlust is what got them to the voting booth. I’m sure there are lots of naïve people who voted for him, but it’s a sliver of the overall number.

So we need to be clear-eyed about what we’re up against. I won’t go through all of the horrors his voters affirmatively endorsed.

I don’t know what the answer is, but I know we won’t find it by coddling bigotry and hate.
