In light of that roaring success, what could possibly go wrong, especially with an agency named after a cryptocurrency?

From the off, it sounds like it's wanting to have its cake and eat it - "Department of Government Efficiency" that will at the same time "provide advice and guidance from outside of government" and "partner with the White House and Office of Management and Budget", run by two opinionated goofballs who've never served in government?!
It certainly sounds like the concept of a plan, maybe fueled by too much nose powder and assorted other substances.
As for "which is a lot of people!" - yup, it is, and you're after all their jobs. That's sure to go down well when you start laying off well-paying jobs in the pork barrel states.
One person's "waste" is another person's Earthquake Hazards Program. That worked out well when Trump tried to cut it in 2018, then had to reverse course before the year was out.
Someone should remind them that the Manhattan Project was a mixed bag, not a blueprint for government.
