(7,303 posts)That's one of the problems we face. People want simple solutions to complex problems, but they don't exist.
Really understanding the problem, & understanding how it can actually be solved, requires thinking & I'm convinced a lot of people just don't want to think. They just want someone to say "I'll fix it." Maybe there's something we can learn from that?
Also, Republicans are going to constantly invent new "problems" to rile up their base, so we need to be prepared to answer a never ending series of imaginary "problems." I support doing that, but in so doing we run the risk of creating a scenario where Republicans control the narrative & we're constantly chasing them. We have to make sure we also get our own messaging out & promote our own narrative regardless of what imaginary "problems" Republicans invent.
