(1,002 posts)Thats because campaigns are data driven and campaigns in swing states do modeling down to the sub precinct level. They have detailed data concerning registration and turnout history which, when combined with internal polling, gives them a very good idea on how that location will vote. Thats why the Harris campaign conceded - the outcome matched up with their data. Sure, there might have off on some locations but that is to be expected in a close election. They didnt contest the election because their own data said the result was not an anomaly. Remember in 2020 when there was an uproar in Michigan where a GOP county showed a strong result for Biden? Everyone, including the Dems, said that this makes no sense according to our data, and sure enough, turns out a tabulator hadnt been zeroed out after a test run.
