purchase form: "Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance".

In 2023 16.7 million guns were bought in the US. About 16% of Americans "use marijuana" currently, and about 50% "have tried" it. One can only guess how many people would be in prison if everyone who lied on the gun purchase form were imprisoned.
