Some Republican voters thought it was okay to do away with Obamacare because they would still have the ACA. Just as mindless as the voters who voted for abortion rights in their states and then gave control of Congress to Republicans promising a nationwide abortion ban.

Given what we’re seeing with the US education system being turned into Christianity 101 and the continued decline of US student performance on international math and reading tests, we are likely to lose our edge in technology and everything else in the not-too-distant future. Add to that the religious right’s propaganda to convince young women that they do not need an education because they belong in the home having babies and we also have fewer women in the workplace. With no immigrants allowed, who is supposed to fill those jobs? I don’t think too many white people from Europe, the only acceptable immigrants, are eager to move here!
