3. I am exhausted.

But that doesn’t mean I’m checking out.

It’s been a long, long, draining nine years since the escalator. In the darkest days of the George W. Bush administration, I could never have dreamed that it could get worse.

I’m eyeing opportunities to move to Canada, or the UK, or Finland, or New Zealand. But I don’t think I will actually make the leap.

He’s got to die sooner or later. He’s made enemies among some powerful Republicans. And he is too incompetent, too undisciplined, and too fuzzy-headed to be able to buckle down and do the minutiae of administration that his ghoulish, un-American agenda will require.

I’m exhausted. And there’s still such a long way to go until the end. But I’m resilient.
