Friday

My head spun when that happened. It didn't make sense at the time. I felt that voters and citizens were disenfranchised, all of us at once. The country seemed taken hostage.
That basic truth I knew all my life, believed in, and participated in was suddenly taken from us.

'Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth.'
