2. The panels on a Cybertruck are actually considerably thicker then a normal pickup

And are also made of a harder steel. The avg vehicle has 0.7-1.0mm thick body panels, for the Cybertruck its 1.4-1.8mm thick. So theoretically at least, the Cybertruck would contain an explosion better then a regular pickup. In practice, it probably only matters for improvised low explosives like what was used. If high explosives were used, it wouldn't matter, those will blow up any truck.
