have somehow changed from neighborly to hoods *... as defined by the members of our society. If you saw your next door neighbors child wandering around their own house would you feel comfortable enough to approach that child? Would you know the names of the child's parents? Or even the child's name? Somewhere between 50 and 25% of Americans have some form of mental illness. Is it possible that social isolation and disconnectedness are contributory?
