Given the idea that unchecked flunkies were given access [View all]

to IT systems at the Department of Energy and some of those systems could provide them with nuclear weapons information it is time to ask this pertinent and serious question. Given that this seems to be an out of control situation will nobody in the military step forward and put and end to it to protect the country? I understand the chain of command concept and all but doesn't there come a time when you have to act on an immediate basis because of the dire risk? I mean for heaven's sake it looks like people would just stand to the side as Russian troops land in DC and announce they're taking over.

Is everybody in the military content to "wait" for a command from a top general etc.? A command that may well never come if the top guys are loyalists to Crumb The 1st. It's fine that we got a court order restricting access at Treasury etc. but haven't most of those horses left the barn already anyway? I doubt they "waited" for days to copy information.

Do people really buy the idea that they are snooping in those systems to make sure people aren't cheating on their expense reports or cutting themselves checks? Really? So they're now in the Department of Energy computers for what reason again? Are we going to be told they are making sure we're not "overpaying" for nuclear materials for weapons systems?

The only thing more insane than believing this "finding waste" line of BS is that the military hasn't stepped in forcefully and stopped it. "Step away from what you're doing, keep your hands in the air and come with me to an area where you will be confined until we can find out who you really are and check you out like we do anybody else." What a breath of fresh air and sane thought that would be to hear.
