It is not complicated. A crappy, horrendous, even evil plan beats no plan at all, especially when it is delivered with some gusto.

Democrats don't stand for ANYTHING these days, by and large (some do individually, but as a united party, not so much). The only thing most Dems are for is being AGAINST Trump. That's not good enough. People don't want to know what you are against. They want to know what you are committed to doing that will make their lives better. And they want some confidence that you will either get it done, or go down in flames fighting for it. Americans just don't like the idea of turning tail and waddling away at the slightest resistance from Republicans.

You can't beat a terrible idea with no idea. And that's pretty much the definition of Klobuchar and far too many of her colleagues.

No little ideas. Only big, bold, memorable ideas. Think New Deal, Apollo Project, and Great Society. Those are the things that move people. Everything else ends up being mostly service to billionaires.
