(16,113 posts)37. Putting money into a down-market can work out well for younger workers.
I've been at my company for 15 years and I'm under 40. When the market dropped, the existing investments I had got hammered, but I'm also "buying low" at a young age. Since I can't touch the money for a long time anyway (at least 25 years), I'm not as concerned about current fluctuations as someone nearing retirement would be.

Curently 42 and plan to retire in 2014 (thanks to Obamacare making HI afordable). So, looking good!
