They have a plant outside Ames, Iowa, that I've driven by on the way to my brother's place, plus another in New York state (per Wikipedia).

Same here. Not much difference in taste with commercial pasta and Barilla was usually the cheapest.

We love Creamette brand. Not sure about their politics but I like it better than Barilla.
