What's wrong with the Alabama Democratic Party - Only 2 Democrats on my ballot out of 13 races. [View all]

I pulled up a sample ballot for my district and out of 13 races 11 of them have an only an unopposed repub. And it's not just local races, many are statewide such as the Alabama Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Public Service Commission President.

I get it that this is a deep red state, but is the Alabama Democratic Party so weak that we can't at least have candidates out there getting our message out? Change won't happen overnight, but if we don't put forth an effort it'll never happen.
