Walz and AOC were wrong to do that.

Escherichia coli (E. coli) is bacteria found in the intestines of humans and animals. Some types, like E. coli O157:H7, can produce powerful toxins that can cause severe and potentially deadly illness. Symptoms can include bloody diarrhea, severe stomach cramps and vomiting.


We had to make a lot of changes in the orchard when that new deadly strain of E. coli first appeared. No more unpasteurized cider, no more harvesting of "drops" (fruit that has fallen to the ground) for juice, to name two examples. Hundreds of small family farms here took this threat to public health very seriously, despite the fact that the necessary changes to protect public health meant a substantial loss of income.
