Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump's newly appointed 'border czar' revealed that he and his family have been receiving death threats since his appointment.
Homan, tasked with overseeing U.S. border security, revealed on Monday morning on Fox & Friends that his family is currently "not at home" due to the death threats. The former acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement director (ICE), appointed by Trump on Truth Social, vowed that these threats would not deter him from his mission.
"That's something we're going to deal with. They're not going to shut me up. They're not going to make me go away. This is the biggest national security vulnerability this nation has seen since 9/11. We have to fix it," he said. "They are not going to bully me away," Homan added.
Newsweek has contacted the Homan and the Trump-Vance transition team for comment.
