and he has operated from that standpoint as a member of the Senate since WAY before 45 even considered dabbling with running for President (i.e., has been there since 1985 vs 45's 1988 trial balloon consideration of running for the top of the ticket). But Biden had been in there over a decade before Turtle so he knows where all the bodies are buried.

The "establishment" GOP know this too and know that Rick Scott is the "baby" (least experienced) of the 3 that were proffered, having only been in the Senate for 5 years. Cornyn had been in there a few years longer than Thune but either of the latter would have more of the Riddick's Rules learning under their belts.
