...why bother, he'll just pardon himself?

Well, why bother doing anything?

I see a lot of charges vs current DU'ers for wanting to drop out of the "fight" for a while, maybe for good, as being defeatist or quitting, not helping.

I see the comment expressed here by FBaggins here as another form of defeatism or quitting.

Just making a comment. I'm still "dropped out" myself. Still recharging my batteries, which are old and take longer to re-charge than they used to. I don't know if I will get back in the fight or not. Probably will, when I find the right niche.
